My name is Tom Groeneweg, I'm a structural engineer and consultant at Movares, an engineering and consultancy
office in Utrecht.
Currently I'm working on a project justa at the doorstem of our office: the
largest building pit in the Netherlands. This project includes the reconstruction of the entire railway
station area in the heart of Utrecht city. A part of it is the rebuilding of the canal surrounding the city,
including lots of bridges, underground structures and buildings. All are being constructed in a very small area.
A space that has to be shared by construction sites, travellers of all kinds and also a large shopping mall.
